When there's not much to see when looking ahead, I tried looking up. Then I realized I really should invest in some sunglasses. It's been a blinding minute, and despite the sunburns, the bug bites, the sour smell of sunscreen and sweat, it is still the best season.
A few days ago I got a spider bite on my thumb while I was outside, under the blinding sky. The joint swelled up until I couldn't even hold a can of energy drink and had to ice it with brown frozen bananas. It made me wonder how much it would hurt if I were to punch someone, and if I could fight through the pain and do it anyway. I asked Caelan if I could punch him, he said yes so I did it twice but felt bad about it. He's too skinny for me to punch him with full power.
The dark rain clouds have gone away from this morning, but I haven't been outside since the percipitation stopped. Maybe when I walk to yoga class, there will be something in the clouds that's in the shape of the answer I'm looking for. I don't have a question at hand, but I'm always looking for something, so I started collecting photos of clouds over the past few days. It's cliché because as I took a photo of the sun starting to set, I saw an old man across the park also taking a photo of the sky. I guess we're all just primitive lifeforms looking at the heavens with mouths hanging open, hoping to see something pretty for a brief moment.
It's nice when there's no grey ceiling up there.

I went to the beach with Mike today and we saw a dragon in the sky — we named it Puff. Puff was morphing fast, its head protruded and jutted forward, losing its shape after just a few moments. Mike said, "It's on its way to eat the moon." All I could think of was that episode of Rick & Morty where there was a slut dragon.
I told him about how when I took photos of the sky a few days ago, there was an old man adjacent to me also taking a picture of the sky. Right on cue, we noticed another old man just a short distance away with his phone pointed to clouds above as the sun was setting. By then, Puff had already dissipated. I wonder if the old man had managed to also capture the dragon before we noticed him standing there.

Another beach day with Mike and we finally get a pinkish peachish sunset.
