These are stupid, I keep thinking of how stupid they are but wowowow, placing each "diamond" aka. small plastic dot onto the sticky mat comes with a tiny pop of dopamine. Before you know it, I've spent 3 hours placing small plastic dots to make a badly AI'd mosaic picture sparkle. I keep thinking of what I can possibly do with these after they're finished. They're entirely too ugly to display, and it's just plastic waste if I throw them out. So out of guilt, I will keep them in a box? I don't know. I keep thinking these tiny plastic dots will choke a sea turtle or something if I throw them out.
In my defense, this was scooped out of a bin at the SPCA thrift shop. I'm helping kittens!
[Speaking of Kittens]
This was my first diamond art ever. It's so ugly. Oh good lord it's so ugly. Is this a cat or a parrot on a Pride parade float? Anyway it took me about 3 days of shrimp posturing over the desk to finish this. I was so into it that I made myself wonder about my own sanity.
[Peony Season]
I think these are peonies? Who cares, I like the pastel pink colors. It's slightly bigger than the ugly Pride parrot cat and easier on the eyes because the colors aren't demanding that I perceive them. I'm intentionally going slow with this one because I don't want to go into that k-hole of placing sticky microplastics again.
I suppose I will be updating with progress photos here until completion.
