In a 3am frenzy, I made an offer on a little video camera on eBay that had everything I wanted: record to SD card, CCD sensor, interlaced. I wanted it shitty, I wanted artifacts, I wanted that old lo-fi look that people try to emulate with their stupid fucking iphones by throwing filters on.
When it arrived, the SD card had footage on it! It looked to be a Costa Rican vacation in 2010 and the vibes were vibing. So of course I had to make an edit.
Videodad had a penchant for pocket recording and never not moving. Every shot was a pan or a zoom. I think for all the weird wobbly footage's worth, I managed to piece together something quite cute and wholesome, in all its 480p glory.
